2nd Amendment 1791 Acquires Snagmag

2nd Amendment 1791, manufacturer of multi-fit holsters and accessories that accommodate a wide range of firearms, announces the acquisition of Snagmag.

Snagmag was invented by a plain-clothes law enforcement officer who needed a better option for carrying a spare magazine. Snagmag was the perfect solution, as it kept the magazine from turning sideways in his pocket or getting tangled with the other items.

The Snagmag is designed to be worn in your front, support-side pocket and is available in over 50 variations that accommodate the most popular magazines.

“After reviewing and using the Snagmag, it didn’t take long for us to realize  it was the perfect addition to our 1791 Tactical line of products," said Ramiro Romani, CEO of 1791 Gunleather. "With its ease of use and great concealability it slots right into our line of high-quality Kydex tactical products.”

NRA Launches Adaptive Product Database

The National Rifle Association Adaptive Shooting Programs and Business Alliance has launched an Adaptive Product database to highlight businesses delivering the best in services, gear, and training for people with disabilities.

“People of all ability levels are heading into the outdoors to take part in the shooting sports at impressive levels,” said Dr. Joe Logar, national manager of NRA's Adaptive Shooting Programs. “This database provides a one-stop resource to ensure they can make the most out of those experiences.”

The Adaptive Product Providers database is available on the NRA Adaptive Shooting Programs website under the Resources tab. There users will find organizations with products and services that make the outdoors and the shooting sports more accessible to people with disabilities. Featured outfits range from companies selling devices that make loading pistol magazines easier to all-terrain wheelchairs to take hunters anywhere wild game may go.

“Helping people find their way back to the outdoors is incredibly rewarding,” Logar said. “Hopefully this database will make that journey a little bit easier.”

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has been recognized by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers as Firearms Manufacturer of the Year for the 13th consecutive year.

The Ruger Precision Rimfire Magnum also was awarded the NASGW Caliber Award in the Best New Rifle category. NASGW members met Oct. 22 in Orlando at the Annual Awards Dinner and Reception. Accepting these prestigious awards on behalf of Ruger was Chris Killoy, President and CEO.

"We are honored to be recognized by the NASGW as Firearms Manufacturer of the Year for the 13th straight time, and to be awarded the Best New Rifle," Killoy said. "To receive these awards on Oct. 22, Ruger Day, makes the honor even greater for our organization."

This annual event provides educational, marketing and communications opportunities to hunting and shooting sports wholesalers, manufacturers and sales professionals. The NASGW also uses this event to recognize manufacturers for their accomplishments from the previous year.

The Firearms Manufacturer of the Year recipient is determined by NASGW members who evaluate the performance of manufacturers on four key criteria: distribution policy; marketing, promotions and sales; logistics and operations; and NASGW and industry support. This assessment of manufacturer performance is designed to provide a balanced appraisal that recognizes the best manufacturer in its category according to NASGW members.

Sig Sauer P365 Wins NASGW Award

The Sig Sauer P365 SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) pistol has been awarded the 2019 NASGW POMA-Caliber Award for “Best New Handgun.”

The NASGW-POMA Caliber Awards are a partnership between the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers and the Professional Outdoor Media Association to recognize new and innovative products within the sporting goods industry.
