Most hunters and shooters know that having a great rifle with a sorry scope mounted on top won’t help their odds of success whether pursuing game or shooting targets. That’s just the way it is — quality optics are necessary for peak accuracy, and they always have been.
Fortunately, high-quality riflescopes are a lot more common than they were just a couple of decades ago, and some are very reasonably priced for the features offered. Better glass, higher quality materials and tighter tolerances simply equal better performance for most of today’s scopes.
The number and variety of riflescopes introduced at the 2024 SHOT Show in Las Vegas was staggering, and trying to cover them all would be nearly impossible. That said, let’s take a look at nine new riflescopes introduced by a range of optics companies at the 2024 Shot Show that might just pique the interest of your customers this year. There are plenty of high-quality scopes in all price ranges that are definite contenders for display space in your store.

Taking the already popular line, the company expanded the magnification range from 5x all the way up to a class-leading 30x to give shooters an advantage in the field or on the range. They also increased the objective lens to 56mm and used Extra-Low Dispersion Prime (ED) glass to wring every bit of sharpness and contrast out of the optical system. The Match Pro has a 34mm main tube with windage and elevation adjustments provided in ¼-MOA clicks for a total of 100 MOA of elevation adjustments and 50 MOA of windage adjustments. MSRP is $749.99.
EOTECH Vudu X Series
Designed for 3-gun shooters as well as other serious recreational shooters, the new Vudu X series riflescopes from EOTECH feature aircraft-grade aluminum construction, daylight bright illuminated reticle and precision turrets for maximum accuracy. The magnification power ring includes easy-to-see laser engraved numbering and a removable throw lever for quick transitions through magnification ranges. This second-focal-plane design features AR-coated glass for optimal clarity and durability. With MOA adjustments, the DP1 reticle offers a duplex crosshair, while the BD1 provides holds at 2-MOA increments for long-range targets. Flip-up protective lens caps come standard with both models, and weight ranges from 17 to 21 ounces depending on the model chosen.
