One of the most popular concealed carry pistols in the country right now is the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield. Likewise, one of the leading companies in laser sighting systems is Bend, Oregon-based Crimson Trace.
Like a match made in heaven, Crimson Trace now offers the LG-489G Laserguard green laser sight for the Shield. Many people like red lasers for nighttime shooting, but green is what you want for daytime defense.
The LG-489G fits onto the Shield trigger guard and features the CT Instinctive Activation switch for instant on and off. A 1/3N battery powers the sight.
“Crimson Trace Laserguard laser sights are well known for their factory-like fit onto the pistol’s trigger guard and add little, if any, weight or bulk to the firearm’s footprint,” CT says. “The new LG-489G’s powerful green laser will aid shooters with precision aiming and quick target acquisition during threat encounters.”
The LG-489G retails for $299, and several holsters will be available to accommodate the Shield with laser sight installed.
