Utah-based SilencerCo has just introduced a host of new products they claim will shake up the industry in a big way.
In an industry first, the company is developing an integrally-suppressed 9mm pistol. Dubbed the Maxim9, the pistol will be a "duty grade" pistol, and "not a novelty," SilencerCo's Josh Waldron said at a launch event.
The Radius is the first product from SilencerCo's new SWR division. Billed as the first rail-mounted rangefinder, the Radius is able to accurately range targets out to one mile. It uses a built in laser to help the user offset through a scope in order to home in on distant targets. The unit also incorporates a built-in IR laser. SilencerCo expects an MSRP of $999.
The Hybrid suppressor is SilencerCo's "one and done" can. The Hybrid works on everything from 4570 and 458 SOCOM down to 9mm using interchangeable attachments.
Using the same geometry as the SilencerCo Salvo, the new Osprey Micro is a 22 suppressor that can run either 4.6 inches or 3.1 inches. In the shortest configuration, the square-shaped silencer can usually fit in a standard holster. The Osprey Micro will carry an MSRP of $599 and will start shipping next month, the company says.
Going WAY outside the box, SilencerCo is building what it says is the first commercially-available integrally-suppressed pistol on the market. Still well within the prototype phase, the Maxim9 "is quiet and functional now, and we'll make it as awesome as it can be," SilencerCo says. The Maxim9 is intended to be a "duty grade" pistol for everyday use and will be released sometime in 2016.
Hello Robo Cop, meet the Maxim9. "We can see the end of the tunnel, and tomorrow you can see the future."
