EOTech has taken the most popular features from its line of Holographic Weapon Sights and packed them all into a pair of new units that were recently unveiled.

The EOTech Model 518 and 558 are available just in time for the holiday season and combine many of the most sought-after features, delivering a two-eyes-open accuracy and ease-of-use in a single package. Both models utilize the quick-release base that allows for quick attachment, removal, and re-mounting while retaining 1 MOA accuracy or better. Additionally, both the Model 518 and the Model 558 operate on standard lithium or alkaline AA batteries, easily accessible to most shooters.

The EOTech Model 518 and 558 are both compatible with EOTech’s new Laser Battery Cap. The LBC is a drop-in upgrade that adds the versatility of integrated aiming lasers to an EOTech Holographic Weapon Sight. The LBC delivers both red visible and civilian-legal IR, brining even more aiming capability to the shooter in a wider range of conditions. The LBC includes a port for an external remote pressure switch.

Both the 518 and the 558 are also compatible with EOTech’s G33 Magnifier, a 3x optic that offers a large field of view and an adjustable diopter for precise focusing.

“We are very excited about our latest HWS offerings,” said Mark Miller, EOTech product manager. “By combining the HWS features our customers are most interested in and incorporating them into one design, we are able to provide them a better solution. What's more, the two new sights are classified under the U.S. Department of Commerce for export, making it easier for international customers to sell and use our products.”

The EOTech Model 518 is 5.5 inches long and weighs 13.3 ounces. It mounts on standard Picatinny or 1-inch Weaver tactical rails and is submersible to 10 feet depth. There are 20 settings for daylight operation. It operates for up to 1,000 hours on two lithium AA batteries and up to 600 hours on common alkaline batteries. It uses side button functionality to reduce space requirements and ease operation.

The EOTech Model 558 has all the features of Model 518 and adds 10 more settings for use with Gen I through Gen III+ night vision.

The Model 518 has an MSRP of $539 while the Model 558 has an MSRP of $629.
