Vapor Trail and Stokerized Stabilizers Opens New Manufacturing Facility

After more than 15 years, Vapor Trail has outgrown its current facility in Ham Lake, Minnesota, and will be moving its manufacturing and business office to the nearby town of Anoka.

“We’ve been bursting at the seams for the last 5 years, and since the acquisition of Stokerized Stabilizers, we’ve simply hit a tipping point,” said Ricky Brule, creative director of both Vapor Trail and Stokerized. “Our goal is to increase our productivity and efficiency, and we weren’t able to achieve that with our current footprint. Both Vapor Trail and Stokerized are growing exponentially, and we will need room to expand as well.”

The new facility is more than 25,000 square feet, which is an enormous upgrade from the previous 2,800 square feet. The additional space will allow for better employee amenities, a dedicated research and development area, vastly improved workflow, and more organized warehousing.

Bear Archery Offers Pope and Young Memberships

Bear Archery has stepped up its commitment to preserving, promoting and protecting America’s bowhunting heritage by committing to purchase its loyal customers a 1-year Pope and Young membership. This membership offer is extended to consumers with the purchase and successful registration of a new compound, recurve, or crossbow. In addition, Bear has partnered with onX Maps to give archers that purchase a new Bear ADAPT or Legit bow a free 3-month premium subscription to onX Hunt.

“We are proud to partner with Pope and Young and offer our customers a free 12-month membership with their purchase and registration of a Bear bow,” said Bear Archery Marketing Director Alec Wyman. “The two brands have a remarkable history of supporting each other dating back to the 1960s. This new venture is a great chapter for both brands in their mission to drive the archery industry forward.”

Bear Archery customers will also have the option to upgrade to a discounted second year membership for an even greater value.

“There aren’t many companies in the outdoor industry that have as much history as Bear Archery and seeing them step up in support of Pope and Young is humbling to say the least,” said Pope and Young Marketing Director Dylan Ray. “Fred Bear had a rich history with Pope and Young, being a vital part of the club in the beginning, and now Bear Archery carries on the support of Pope and Young that Papa Bear demonstrated. Pope and Young is for all bowhunters, and now with the purchase of your new bow, whether your first bow, or just upgrading to a newer, better model now you get your membership for free.”

4th Annual Tree Stand Safety Awareness 3-D Archery Benefit Shoot

The Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSSA) held its 4th Annual 3D Archery Benefit Shoot at Rub Line Archery Range, in Moneta, Virginia, on August 20, 2022. The event helps kick off Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month (September) and included six divisions. Funds raised from the event help support TSSA achieve its mission of significantly reducing tree stand incidents through promotion, education, and best practices.

The event is touted as one of the premiere shoots in Virginia and participants came from across Virginia and North Carolina to participate this year. With more than 120 participants aging from single digits to well into their 70s, archery is a great sport that the whole family can enjoy, said TSSA President Glen Mayhew.

Participants shot 25 targets throughout the range to determine scores within their respective division, and also had the opportunity to shoot for a $100 cash prize in the long shot competition. The long shot this year was 100 yards and the winning arrow was only 3/8-inch from the bull’s-eye (below).

A prize of $100 cash was given to the winner of the 100-yard long shot competition during the 4th Annual 3D Archery Benefit Shoot.

There were door prize drawings throughout the day, prize packages for the top three scores in each division, and all participants were placed in the drawing for the grand prize and runner-up grand prize.

TSSA thanked everyone who participated in the shoot, and offered a special thanks to all its supporting partners: Summit Tree Stands, Hawk, Hunter Safety System, Mathews Archery, Bear Archery, HuntStand, Trophy Treestands, Muddy Outdoors, Rivers Edge Treestands, Elimishield Hunt, EZ-KUT Products, Realtree, SpyPoint Trail Cameras, and Sportsman’s Warehouse (Roanoke, Virginia).

Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about tree stand safety and the importance of following the ABCs of Tree Stand Safety regardless of the stand type they choose to use.

  • Always remove and inspect your equipment
  • Buckle on your full-body harness
  • Connect to the tree before your feet leave the ground
