Team Mathews Wins ‘ASA Shooter of the Year’ in Two Divisions
Team Mathews delivered a noteworthy finish to the 2020 ASA season recently at the ASA Classic in Foley, Alabama, claiming two Shooter of the Year titles and sweeping Men’s Open Pro.
Levi Morgan and Robert Householder each finished the tournament season with the most points in their categories, clinching the most coveted award in 3-D archery — ASA Shooter of the Year. This is Morgan’s 13th SOY award in the Men’s Open Pro division. Householder has won SOY in Men’s Known Pro two consecutive years.
The ASA tournament tour consists of tournaments across the country. ASA Pro Division competitors shoot two rounds of twenty targets. These targets vary in distance up to 50 yards and the five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot down to decide the winner. The shooter with the most points after all events is dubbed Shooter of the Year in each division.
In addition to the two Shooter of the Year awards, Team Mathews also claimed six of nine podiums at the ASA Classic across three Pro Divisions.
