PRADCO Outdoor Brands Acquires Ani-Logics Outdoors
PRADCO Outdoor Brands, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of hunting and fishing products, recently acquired Ani-Logics Outdoors, a leader in scientifically formulated deer nutrition products. This acquisition complements PRADCO’s already diverse roster of hunting, fishing and outdoor brands (see brand list below).
“I am excited to welcome Ani-Logics to our family of iconic brands,” said Brian Malone, VP/GM of PRADCO Outdoor Products Division. “Our focus is to support and grow the existing operation by leveraging proven Ani-Logics and PRADCO resources.”
Ani-Logics started in response to the 2012 Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) outbreaks. Their devoted team of scientists and wildlife biologists worked to develop nutritious deer supplements designed to support herd health, promote antler growth, and offer exceptional attraction and palatability. With this acquisition, PRADCO is committed to continuing these efforts by conducting research and field testing to support the development of new and improved wildlife nutritional products. This research, along with warehouse and manufacturing functions, will remain in Worthington, Minnesota.
This addition is not only building the PRADCO portfolio, but also working to strengthen well-established partnerships. Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, long-time partners of PRADCO’s Summit Treestands, also work closely with the Ani-Logics brand, creating technologically advanced food plot seed and attractant products known as CRUSH.
“I am thrilled to continue working with Ani-Logics under its new ownership,” said Lee Lakosky of the Crush with Lee & Tiffany. “We look forward to this expanded partnership as an opportunity for all.”
(PRADCO Outdoor Products is a family owned company and subsidiary of EBSCO Industries; brands under the PRADCO umbrella include Summit Treestands, Code Blue Scents and D/CODE Scent Elimination, Knight & Hale, Whitetail Institute, Texas Hunter and Maxxtuff. PRADCO is also home to Moultrie/Moultrie Mobile, along with PRADCO Fishing.)
TenPoint Founding Member Chuck Jordan Named to The Archery Hall of Fame
TenPoint founding member Chuck Jordan has been inducted into The Archery Hall of Fame. The unveiling of the official museum plaque was recently completed at The Archery Hall of Fame Museum inside the Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri, and the personal plaque was awarded at the White River Convention Center. Chuck was accompanied by several family members, TenPoint members, and long-time friends for this momentous occasion. Chuck is now the third TenPoint founding member to be inducted into The Archery Hall of Fame.
Chuck’s love for archery began in his teenage years, from shooting a straight-limb bow at just 11-years old, to entering and placing in tournaments throughout the following years.
Eventually, Chuck began to focus most of his attention on working for TenPoint Crossbow Technologies, spending time educating people about crossbow myths and facts at consumer shows. He also worked tirelessly educating the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and members of the Michigan House and Senate on crossbow use. Through his hard work and dedication to help every hunter enjoy the sport of bowhunting, in 2010 most of the restrictions on crossbow hunting in Michigan were lifted, and many states have followed suit since then.
“I’ve known Chuck for over 50 years, and he has been a huge asset to the archery industry and the archery community,” said TenPoint Executive Chairman Rick Bednar. “From tournament archery to hunting camps, from bow designs to accessory designs, from recurve bows to crossbows, from trade shows to consumer shows, Chuck has interacted with thousands of people over the decades, and has always done it with sincerity, and a smile on his face. It is an honor to see him inducted into The Archery Hall of Fame, he deserves to be here! Congratulations, Chuck!”
Since retiring from TenPoint, Chuck spends most of his time keeping his finger on the pulse of the archery industry by staying in touch with friends and also serves as a director on The Archery Hall of Fame board. In his spare time, Chuck works with his family on his pride and joy – his Wicked Ridge farm.
As TenPoint Crossbows celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024, the company continues to uphold its commitment to innovation, quality and American craftsmanship, inspired by the vision of its founding members.
Market Size Annual Report Available From Southwick Associates
Southwick Associates has released the “2023 Hunting & Shooting Market Size Report,” detailing the size of the more than $22 billion hunting and shooting equipment market in 2023. The overall market value dropped from 2022 estimates, but was still higher than pre-pandemic levels, with firearms and ammunition declining less than anticipated.
“Consumer purchases of firearms and ammunition were stronger than expected in 2023, as dealers continued to work through inventory and re-align product assortments,” said Nancy Bacon, vice president of Southwick Associates. “Inflationary pressures continue to affect the consumer, but they appeared to be resilient in 2023 with increases in hunting and shooting accessories that may not have been broadly available in the last couple years. The new market size report will help businesses understand the new market environment, and identify opportunities.”
The new “2023 Hunting & Shooting Equipment Retail Market Size Report” is available to purchase from Southwick Associates. The report includes both retail unit and dollar sales estimates of more than 80 products directly associated with hunting, recreational shooting, and personal protection. Breakouts are included for specific product attributes such as action type or caliber/gauge, the primary purpose for consumers’ purchases and more. Only equipment directly associated with hunting, recreational shooting, and personal protection are reported. Other items such as travel-related spending, real estate and indirect equipment such as vehicles are not included.

Delta McKenzie also helps steer growth at the state and team level by providing affordable target packages to meet all needs.
S3DA Executive Director Holly Helton said, “Delta McKenzie’s unwavering support of our program has allowed us to not only maintain the goals that we’ve set for our national youth archery movement but also focus on further expansion into the western United States. Thanks to Delta McKenzie’s support, we have increased participation at all national tournaments in 2024 to date and literally exploded in growth throughout the west.
