New Bowhunting Gear Set to Launch at 2023 ATA Trade Show

Hundreds of new bowhunting products are set to launch at the 2023 ATA Trade Show including bows from Bear Archery, Excalibur and PSE Archery. Other gear being released includes sights, arrows, treestands and many other accessories. The premiere archery buying event of the year will take place January 11-13 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“The ATA Trade Show is the best place to see, test and buy the latest bows and archery equipment, all in one place,” said ATA President and CEO Jeff Poole. “Each year, we have innovative products released at the Show, and we’re excited for attendees to see what’s new around the industry.”

"The ATA continues to be the backbone of the archery industry, and there is no better time or place to announce the new PSE Fortis compound hunting bow than at the 2023 ATA Trade Show," said Lonnie Workman, VP of sales and marketing at PSE Archery.

ATA surveys indicated 74% of exhibitors plan to release at least one new product at the 2023 Show. The New Product Launch Showcase serves as an area where attendees can preview all the new products introduced at the Show. Industry experts will vote and award gold, silver and bronze awards for their favorite products displayed in this area. The three winners will be announced and awarded during The Connections Celebration, presented by Mossy Oak, the first night of the Show on January 11 in the Sagamore Ballroom.

The Connections Celebration is the ATA’s featured event and provides Show attendees with an opportunity to network and unwind in a laid-back atmosphere. The event recognizes ATA's annual award winners and provides free food, drinks, networking and entertainment you won't want to miss, including a performance by country artist Cole Chaney.

TenPoint Crossbows Promotes Keith Arnold to VP of Sales

TenPoint Crossbows recently announced the promotion of Keith Arnold to vice president of sales. Arnold joined the company in early 2019 and has previously served as national sales manager and brand manager over his tenure.

As vice president of sales, Arnold will oversee all functions of the sales operation within TenPoint, including managing dealer relationships, inside sales, warranty service, customer and dealer service, pro staff, and outside sales representatives.

Prior to working at TenPoint, Arnold served as category manager at Plano Synergy from 2017-2018, buyer and director of purchasing at Kinsey’s Archery Products from 2002-2017, and archery manager at French Creek Outfitters from 1994-2002.

Arnold also serves as a board member on the Archery Trade Association, is an avid outdoorsman, passionate bowhunter, and dedicated family man.

GAS Bowstrings Welcomes Tanja Gellenthien to Sales Team

GAS Bowstrings recently announced that Tanja Gellenthien has joined its team and will be working in international sales. In the past, the company worked internationally with distributors only, but now it will work directly with international dealers and pro shops. Gellenthien will work with international pro shops and dealers to foster new partnerships and make GAS Bowstrings even more accessible to archers around the globe.

“I not only admire the people at GAS Bowstrings, but also the strenuous process from start to finish to ensure that every single string lives up to the same exceptional quality that you have known to expect from GAS,” Gellenthien said. “It will be an honor working with them.”

Tanja Gellenthien is a highly successful professional archer from Denmark who competes around the world in women’s compound. She is married to well-known American archer Braden Gellenthien.

Kentucky S3DA Hosts Fisher Barton Memorial Archery Tournament

Kentucky S3DA and the Impact Archery S3DA Team recently held the fourth-annual Fisher Barton Memorial Archery Tournament at the Whitley County Middle School in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Archers gathered from across the state to participate in this very special tournament that has generated more than $8,000 in awarded scholarships to Kentucky S3DA archers since its inception. All proceeds from this tournament benefit the Fisher Barton Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides at least two scholarships each year to seniors who are active within Kentucky S3DA.

Proceeds from the tournament came through concessions, entry fees, admission, raffle tickets and t-shirt sales. KY S3DA State Conservation also kicked off the 2023 #livelikefisher Wolf CVA Muzzleloader raffle, which will run through the KY State Indoor Championship in February. This same raffle last year raised $1,200 for the scholarship fund.

The day ended with many of the spectators staying to participate in the “Vegas Fun Shoot,” which was held following the Kentucky S3DA regional indoor qualifier. The fun shoot allowed S3DA archers along with parents, coaches and the public the opportunity to shoot and have fellowship with each other.

Fisher Barton was a member of the S3DA club, Impact Archery, in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He passed away on Oct. 4, 2019, as the result of an ATV accident.

Amanda Long, former Impact Archery coach, said, “Fisher was a guy that just lit up the room wherever he was. He was fun-loving, had a great sense of humor and an incredible work ethic – often working more than one job while also attending high school full-time and keeping up with his archery and skeet practice. At the time, our team felt that the best way to honor his memory was to keep it alive and pass on the opportunities he was blessed with to others. We created the Fisher Barton Memorial Scholarship Fund to do just that.”

Impact Archery student member Morgan Huddleston said, “I know that having this tournament was hard work for everyone, but we all loved Fisher, and he would have enjoyed seeing so many people come together to honor his memory. This tournament is a great reminder to everyone to #livelikefisher.”
