The Hunting Retailer Show, a trade show specifically for the outdoor and hunting industries, will go on as scheduled March 9-10 at the Opryland Resort in Nashville, despite the tornado that struck Nashville on March 2.
A tornado touched down early in the morning and damaged East Nashville and Germantown, killing at least 19 people and affecting more than 40 buildings, hitting the Five Points area particularly hard. It passed through downtown Nashville at 1 a.m. At the time of this writing, damage was still being assessed.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, where the inaugural Hunting Retailer Show is being held, is miles away from the path of the tornado, and the area is undamaged. While Grand View Outdoors, the show’s hosts, mourn the loss of life this tragedy brought to the city, the show will continue as scheduled.
The show will feature exhibiting companies from across the outdoors industry. A wide variety of product categories includes ammunition, gun and bow cases, camping equipment, footwear, shotguns, clothing and optics. In addition to all the exhibiting companies on the show floor, the Hunting Retailer Show will feature morning roundtable discussions and a slate of quality education sessions.
Education sessions slated throughout both days will cover topics ranging from marketing-driven sales methods and catering to your customers’ needs to trademark law and how to reach your social media followers effectively. Expert presenters include Colin Cottrell, William Napier, Whitney Johnson and Tim Glomb.
The cost to attend the show is $79 for qualified retailers and $199 for all others. Registration includes exhibits, roundtable discussions, education sessions and an Industry Appreciation Party. Registration is quick and simple at www.huntingretailershow.com.
Don’t miss out on the show and a great opportunity to help grow your business while spending some time in a great city with endless dining and entertainment opportunities, in spite of the recent damage. It’s not too late to attend.
