Hunter Safety Systems has announced the new Patriot hunting vest/safety harness licensed by the NRA. The harness vest features Realtree Xtra camo and is reversible to blaze orange. This allows the same vest harness to be used for both bow and gun season, providing comfort and safety in a single stylish package.
HSS took the best and most popular features from its line of hunting harnesses to build the all-season Patriot. It is made of Tricot fabric for warmth and water resistance and it is quiet while the wearer moves, an important factor because the best shot of the season only comes once. A front zipper closure, four deep billow pockets with magnetic closures, and removable binocular straps provide access to gear and accessories while locked into a treestand. The Realtree Xtra side of the vest also features MOLLE webbing for attaching additional gear.
The Patriot utilizes the new HSS upper body webbing, tether, and waist buckle for lighter weight, better fit, and extraordinary strength. The Patriot weight just 2.5 pounds.
“We are truly honored to be working with the NRA on this project,” said Jerry Wydner, HSS president and co-owner. “We believe that through this new partnership, our combined efforts will help to educate a great number of hunters about treestand safety and the importance of being connected to the tree from the minute your feet leave the ground.”
A portion of the proceeds from each purchase will go to the NRA to help its efforts in both hunter safety and in safeguarding the rights of American gun owners. “So be safe in the new Patriot, and know that you’re helping the NRA keep our freedoms safe,” says Wydner.
The Patriot will be available at retailers nationwide beginning this summer.
