Tough Time: Stag Arms Tactical Watch

Stag Arms has teamed with Reactor Watch of Agoura Hills, Calif., to create the Stag Arms Tactical Watch. It’s designed to be rugged and tough enough for wear in the field and stylish enough for everyday wear.

The analog watch face’s numbers and the hands are coated with Never Dark, similar to tritium sights, for visibility in even the darkest environments. The Stag Arms Tactical Watch weighs in at only 95 grams despite a 42mm low-profile face and a solid-forged case, solid screwbars for the nylon and rubber band, and a screw-down crown. The case is only 14mm thick for a comfortable, unobtrusive fit. The band is quieter and more comfortable than a metal band and the watch is powered by a 10-year lithium power cell. It has been waterproof tested to a depth of 600 feet.

Reactor’s proprietary Never Dark technology applies a Swiss material called Superluminova, which is more than five times brighter than tritium after being “charged” in the light. However, Superluminova fades to levels below that of tritium over a period of several hours. The Never Dark application process combines the brightness of Superluminova with the long-lasting glow of tritium. The initial move from light to dark, when the human eye has not adjusted, is covered by the bright glow of Superluminova. As the brightness fades and the eye adapts to darker conditions, the tritium takes over and keeps the watch readable.

The Stag Arms logo is on the watch face and the numbers surrounding the bezel are Stag Arms dark green.

Reactor Watch builds top-end watches for high-end sporting including surfing, fishing, diving, and now shooting.
