The new TactLite AR-15 stock from Advanced Technology International was designed to be one of the lightest AR stocks on the market, and it succeeds with a weight of only 5.85 ounces.
Not only is the TactLite AR-15 stock extremely lightweight, it’s also designed to eliminate play and sloppiness.
“The TactLite stock boasts an industry first constant inner diameter throughout the length of the stock, with versions available for both military and commercial spec rifles” said Jon Shaffer, Director of Business Development. This innovative design feature reduces any movement of the buffer tube in the stock system. “The Buffer Tube is also fixed between a slide mechanism comprised of a material with an extremely low coefficient of friction, which provides a secure and tight fit with minimal resistance.”
In addition to the constant inner diameter, the slide assembly uses constant pressure to help eliminate movement while the low friction material allows smooth and firm adjustments when the lever is depressed. The result is a lightweight six-position stock that adjusts easily when it’s supposed to move and is solid when it’s not.
The TactLite incorporates a new slim lightweight version of ATI’s Scorpion Recoil Pad and incorporates a quick-detach sling mount and a slot for military straps fasteners. The stock has been engineered and tested to remove all snag points.
The TactLite will have an MSRP of $49.99.
Additional models of the ATI TactLite stock will be available, including shotgun stocks.
