Firearms maker Weatherby, Inc., announced today it has entered into a partnership with Delta Waterfowl to help promote the conservation organization's "First Hunt" program.
The company has donated 250 shotguns to Delta Waterfowl for fundraising events and hopes that the duck hunting advocacy group will get more new hunters into the blind.
"Weatherby shares Delta Waterfowl’s passion for promoting duck hunting and conservation, now and into the future," said Adam Weatherby, executive vice president/chief operating officer. "We look forward to a partnership that will benefit ducks and duck hunters around the country."
Weatherby makes high-end shotguns for competition, home defense and hunting. It's SA-08 line of shotguns recently won an NRA "Golden Bullseye" award for the 28 gauge version of the approachably-priced shotgun. The company offers a Synthetic Waterfowl version of the SA-08 which retails for $749.
