Looking to meet the desire for an AUG platform similar to the scoped Special Operations AUG SF model, the AUG A3 M1 is capable of accommodating four different optics platforms: an 11-slot short-rail, 16-slot high-rail, integrated 1.5X optic, and integrated 3X optic.

The integrated-optic platform includes a more traditional AUG scope tube, with three Picatinny rail sections for additional accessories such as a red-dot or holographic sight. All rail and optics platforms are interchangeable via three base screws that thread from the underside of the top of the receiver. The receiver also features a VLTOR Quick-Disconnect Sling Swivel, for easier use with a two-point sling attachment.
