NiteSite releases new RTEK night-vision scopes

NiteSite LLC, the US Sales Division of NiteSite LTD, the UK company and developers of infrared technology for predator hunting, make keeping hunting memories as easy as the push of a button on the patented NiteSite RTEK Eagle, Wolf and Viper night-vision systems.

Made to use in daylight, as well as darkness, with an existing rifle and scope, the NiteSite RTEK systems allow for a night-vision identification range of up to 500 meters (depending upon model and weather conditions). The illuminator module fits to the scope (NiteSite includes a 1-inch and 30mm) by removing the fixing bolt and knob from the clamp and sliding it over the scope tube and attaching the anti-recoil clamp. Then, replace the fixing bolt and knob. The illuminator module slides into the clamp's T-slot and the anti-recoil clamp slides upwards covering the T-slot. Simply tighten the knob until secure and make sure the LCD screen is facing the eye piece.

Next comes the camera. Select a rubber sleeve to fit the scope and place over the eye bell. Push the camera module into the end of the sleeve and focus per the instruction, connect power supply cable and illuminator cable into the back of the camera module and the RTEK system is ready to go with a simple on/off button located at the rear of the camera module. A 4-gigbyte Micro SD card is also supplied with every RTEK camera module providing two hours and 20 minutes of recording capability.

A 2Ah or 4Ah lithium-ion scope mounted battery is also included and is fitted onto the scope sleeve during use. The battery run is four-hours on half IR (depending on model) and also has a hook and loop strap for mounting the scope. A polymer scope mounted battery (6Ah lithium-ion) allows for 4.7 hours of run time (IR at half power) and is housed in a separate battery pouch. The weather resistant pouch attaches to either side of the rifle stock with hook or loop fasteners. Battery size depends on model.

The RTEK series is available in three models depending upon a hunter's preferences and game related hunting distances. The Viper RTEK has an identification range of 110 yards (100 meters) and a suggested MSRP of $850.00. The Wolf RTEK system has an identification range of 330 yards (300 meters) and an MSRP of $1,100.00. The Eagle RTEK night vision system identifies objects out to 550 yards (500 meters) with an MSRP of $1,350.00. All of NiteSite's RTEK night vision systems come with a 24-month limited warranty.

NiteSite Pro Staff Wild Bill uses the Wolf RTEK and says, "Nothing better for me than blasting Texas rooters using a NiteSite Wolf RTEK! I'm an avid bow hunter also and plan to mount a Viper to my crossbow."
