Jay Montrose has joined Leupold & Stevens, Inc. as its director of strategic accounts.

Montrose will manage strategic business goals with Leupold’s Distribution and Buy Group channels and independent Gold Ring Dealers. The hiring represents a return for Montrose, who started with Leupold in 2011 as an Account Specialist and rose to a Regional Sales Manager position before departing the company to pursue other opportunities in early 2017.

“I’m excited to be coming home to Leupold,” said Montrose. “I've been a hunter and a shooter my entire life, and it means a lot to once again work for the country’s most dominant optics brand.”

A Michigan native, Montrose graduated from the University of Oregon’s Lindquist College of Business. He brings years of experience in the shooting and outdoor industry to the table, and is an avid hunter.

“Jay has an extensive, impressive background, both in sales and as a member of our industry,” said Janos Jeszenszky, director of U.S. commercial sales for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “That experience is why we were keen to bring him back to our sales team. We’re ecstatic to have him aboard.”
