iota Outdoors has received patent number 10,048,040 B1 from the United States Patent Office for its Triad Picatinny scope mounts.

The focus of the patent is the three-key adjustment system on the Triad and Triad ZL picatinny scope mounting systems. The system is designed to negate the tolerances allowed in picatinny rails’ machining specifications. Every set of Triad mounts come with three sets of interchangeable key inserts for mounting the scope rings to a picatinny rail within three different tolerances: +.0035, nominal, and -.0035.

“We worked hard to develop what we felt was the most innovative and accurate picatinny scope mounts available,” said Derrick Ratliff, president of iota Outdoors. “This patent proves we accomplished what we set out to do.”

Triad picatinny scope mounts are available with or without iota’s patented ZeroLight Technology. Both are available in 30mm Medium and High as well as 34mm Low and High heights.
