A new subcompact model has joined Heckler & Koch’s P30 handgun line. The 9mmm P30SK is less than 6.5 inches long and perfect for everyday discreet carry. SK stands for “SubKompact” but it holds 11 rounds, more than most other guns in its size range.
The HK P30SK was designed to deliver the most popular and useful features of the full-sized P30 and P30L pistols in a smaller, affordable package. Six grip panels and three backstraps can be easily changed for a perfect custom fit, just like the full-size P30. It has a 3.27-inch barrel and an overall length of 6.42 inches, with a height of 4.57 inches and a width of 1.37 inches. It weighs 23.99 ounces with an empty magazine.
“Shooters love HK P30 series pistols. They are packed with features like incredible durability, superb accuracy, and the only grip in the industry that can be customized to fit any shooter,” said Michael Holley, HK-USA Vice President for Commercial and Law Enforcement Sales. “With the P30SK you get those same features in a small, extremely handy package and at an amazing price.”
The P30SK is available in multiple trigger modes, one of which is a double action only “Law Enforcement Modification” requiring about 5.4 pounds of force. Double action/single action models are available with or without dual ambidextrous manual safeties and require about 4.5 pounds of force on the trigger. Like all HK P30 pistols, the P30SK has an automatic hammer safety and firing pin safety.
The P30SK comes with non-radioactive luminescent three-dot night sights. Night sights are also available for all three models.
Despite the small size, a short Picatinny rail is molded into the frame for lights, lasers, or other accessories. The P30SK comes with two 10-round magazines.
The HK P30SK has an MSRP of $719. Add $100 for the night sights and a third magazine.
