UZI Pistols Are Returning To America

IWI US, Inc., announced that two new pistol model UZIs will be making their debut at the 2015 SHOT Show in Las Vegas this month.

The UZI PRO Pistol and the UZI PRO Pistol SB are based on the original UZI sub-machinegun which served with the Israeli Defense Forces.

The UZI PRO Pistol, chambered in 9mm Luger Parabellum, features an advanced polymer grip to reduce weight and and integrated magazine release button for quick and easy mag changes. A side cocking handle allows for a full-length tactical rail on the top receiver cover. A short rail is also built into the polymer body and positioned below the barrel for lights, lasers, or other accessories. It has a 4.5-inch cold-hammer forged barrel and comes with one 20-round and one 25-round magazine. It has an overall length of 9.5 inches and weighs 3.66 pounds. It will have an MSRP of $1,109.

The UZI PRO SB is based on the same UZI PRO Pistol, but it comes with a side-folding stabilizing brace produces exclusively for IWI US by SB Tactical LLC. The stabilizing brace, similar to those popular on AR pistols, makes handling and accurate fire of the UZI PRO SB much easier and comfortable. The gun can be fired with or without the stabilizing brace extended. The UZI PRO SB will have an MSRP of $1,309.

The UZI design originated in the early 1960s for the Israeli military. Over 2 million UZI variant carbines and pistols have been sold worldwide.
