Ruger Introduces New Striker-Fired LC9s

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc., announced a new addition to its popular and award-winning Lightweight Compact line of pistols. The LC9s is a striker-fired 9mm model with a newly-designed trigger mechanism for a crisp and light pull and improved accuracy.

"The Ruger LC set a high standard for reliable, lightweight personal protection," said Chris Killoy, Ruger President and Chief Operating Officer. "The LC9s follows the success of the LC9, yet provides a new option for shooters who prefer the short, crisp trigger pull of a striker-fired pistol."

The LC9s has a through-hardened blued alloy steel slide and a one-piece glass-filled high-performance nylon grip frame. It has a 3.12-inch barrel and an overall length of 6 inches. The grip is aggressively checkered for a sure grip and the 7-round magazine has a floor extension to further improve the shooter’s hold. The 3-dot sight system is windage adjustable. It weighs in at 17.2 ounces and is 4.5 inches high and only 0.9 inches wide.

The LC9s is fully compatible with all existing LC9 accessories, including holsters, lasers, and extended magazines. This is an advantage of a new model that works with accessories already available, particularly for holsters. Often, new and exciting guns are snatched up as soon as they’re released but well-fitting carry options are months behind.
