Celebrating 100 years of success, O.F. Mossberg & Sons announces the release of the MC1sc subcompact 9mm handgun.
The MC1sc is the newest addition to Mossberg’s growing lineup of self-defense options. Designed for concealment, the MC1sc has many features that make it a viable option for everyday carry. The palm swell and optimized grip angle provide an ergonomic feel and easier targeting, while the standard snag-free dovetail white dot three-dot sights allow for a quick draw and target acquisition.
Mossberg MC1sc Magazines
Each MC1sc comes with two single-stack magazines — a six-round flush-fit magazine and a seven-round extended magazine — that both feature Clear-Count polymer with low friction and high wear-resistance, removable floor plates and high-visibility followers.
Mossberg MC1sc Cost
Featuring an extended trigger guard for easy access, flat-profile trigger with integrated blade safety and a reversible magazine release, the MC1sc is available in five initial models, all with 1:16 twist, 3.4-inch barrels. Besides the standard model ($421), there’s an optional cross-bolt safety version ($421), two models with either TRUGLO Tritium Pro Night Sights ($526) or a Viridian E-Series red laser ($514), and a Centennial Limited Edition model ($686) with 24k gold accents, Titanium Nitride-finished barrel and a special serial number.
Mossberg MC1sc Trigger
Each of the five MC1sc models features the patent-pending Mossberg STS (Safe Takedown System) which doesn’t require the user to pull the trigger to disassemble the handgun for cleaning and maintenance. The Mossberg STS involves making the handgun completely safe by removing the striker assembly before removing the slide.
The MC1sc also features Mossberg’s signature multi-angle slide serrations for easy slide manipulation, glass-reinforced polymer frame and a stainless-steel slide with upgraded diamond-like carbon coating. The MC1sc weighs 19 ounces with an empty magazine, measures 6.45 inches long, and has a 5- to 6-pound trigger pull.
