Coonan, Inc., of Blaine, Minnesota, is increasing production of their .357 Magnum 1911 pistols to meet high demand. The increased manufacturing will reduce the waiting period for these guns to 4-8 weeks. Current wait times are much longer, sometimes reaching nearly a full year.
“We are proud to say that we have aggressively sought to build our manufacturing efficiency so that our customers can get their hands on a Coonan of their own more quickly. We appreciate that our customers were willing to wait almost a year for their pistols, but we want to deliver their guns to them as quickly as possible so they can get out to a range and enjoy them.” said Dan Coonan, President, Coonan.
“As the demand for the Coonan .357 Magnum increased, we forced ourselves to react to that. We refined our production and assembling processes and added talented gunsmiths and personnel to meet the need. We know our customers are very enthusiastic about acquiring their pistols — we are equally excited to deliver the Coonan experience for them.”
The Coonan Classic pistols are chambered for .357 Magnum in a stainless steel 1911 format. The Classic has a 5-inch linkless barrel and is 8.3 inches long. It uses standard .357 Magnum ammunition. It has a 7-round magazine and weighs 48 ounces fully loaded. It comes standard with smooth black walnut grips, but additional grip options are available.
